Helen was born on January 5, 1935, in Wetaskiwin AB, and passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday June 11, 2026, at the age of 91.
Helen was the seventh child born to Elsor and Elizabeth Doering. She was raised on the family farm west of Wetaskiwin. On July 9, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Ken. They have been blessed with 6 children, 17 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
Besides her loving husband Ken of almost 72 years, she is survived by Randy (Colleen) Lomas, Karen (Gary) Atkins, Loretta (Roy) Tetzlaff, Daniel (Imelda) Lomas, Rhonda (Tim) Eidse, Noreen (Dennis) Klok and families, as well as her younger sister Myrtle Reid.
She was predeceased by her parents Elsor and Elizabeth; siblings Velma, Pierce, Bruce, Eric, Neil, Angnes, and Granddaughter Lisa. Through the years they were blessed to be members of the communities of Wetaskiwin, Jasper Place, Onoway, Warner, Taber, and Lethbridge.
