Helen Eccles

HELEN ECCLES of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Albert ""Bert"" Eccles, passed away Thursday September 10, 2009 at the age of 93 years.

Helen was born in Starbuck, Manitoba on June 24, 1916. She married Bert Eccles on June 24, 1950 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They then moved to Lethbridge where she has resided until her passing.

Helen took an active role in volunteering in the community with numerous organizations. In her retirement she loved to travel with Bert, play bridge, volunteer, garden, and spend many special hours with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all of them.

Helen is survived by her daughters; Daphne Eccles of Lethbridge and Carol (Jim) Tudor of Sylvan Lake; grandchildren Bryon Tudor of Red Deer, Leslie (Christian) Levac of Caroline; great-grandchildren Ella and Noah Levac; sisters Phyllis Ireland and Doreen (Cecil) Spearin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10am, on Saturday September 12, 2009 at ST. AUGUSTINE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 - 11 Street South., Lethbridge, AB, with Canon James Robinson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
