Doris Heitman

1933 ~ 2017

Mrs. Doris Heitman, beloved wife of the late Mr. Ralph Heitman (2006), passed away at The Good Samaritans Lee Crest, in Cardston, AB, on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the age of 84 years.

Doris was born and raised in Orion, AB on March 15, 1933. She married the love of her life Ralph in 1951, had 6 children. In 1968, Doris and family moved to Lethbridge and had their 7th child in 1969.

Doris loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Barney (Pat) Heitman, William (Jean) Heitman, Inga Scanlan, David (Glynis) Heitman, Eric Heitman, and Mark (Alynn) Heitman. Doris was Grandma and Mom to Jason Neudorf, Sheila Howard, Grant Chilie and Shayne O’Day; Grandma to Alberta, Jennifer, Brian, Crystal, Dustin, Brad, Kyle, Shawn, Darcy and Joshua; great-grandma to 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters Margaret Michaelis, Lillian Degenstein, and Katherine Yanke; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was predeceased by her daughter, Melodie O’Day (2013); by her 3 brothers and 1 sister.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, November 6, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB., with Deacon Isaac Driedger, officiating.
