MR. HARRY WESSELMAN of Lethbridge passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, February 6, 2012 at the age of 81 years.

Harry leaves behind his brother Chuck (Ann) and his sisters Alice (Tom) McLaren, Ruth (Don) Henry, and Dorothy Van Buuren. He will be missed by all his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Lillian Wesselman and his brother-in-law Harry Van Buuren.

Harry was born and raised in the Coalhurst vicinity and worked hard on the gladiolas, vegetable, fruit and plant farm ran by his parents. After a day's work he loved to jump on his bike and head for the community dump where he would find things he said that were still good and usable and could be repaired. He loved to fix things like watches, vacuum cleaners, toasters, etc. No matter what others were doing, he loved to join in and help wherever he could. He had great interest in collecting pop can tabs and turning them in, towards purchasing wheel chairs for the Diabetes Association. Many others joined him in collecting these tabs and brought them to him. He was diligent in looking for tabs wherever he was, in campgrounds and in garbage bins and on rodeo grounds.

Harry's faith was strong and he regularly attended church and he lived what he believed. Harry was a social person and loved to visit and talk. The first thing he said when he met people was to tell them that his daddy grew gladiolas. Harry had some favorite sayings, ""that's a good one"", ""That's alright"", and ""you can't help it"". The last 25 years he has lived in the homes of his 3 sisters. He adjusted very well where ever he was.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at KING OF KINGS FELLOWSHIP, 539 - 18 Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Bob Butler officiating. Interment to follow in the Archmount Cemetery.
