Harry Gorrill

HARRY GORRILL of New Dayton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the age of 78 years.

Harry was born in Lethbridge, the son of Allie and Alice Gorrill. Harry was an athlete, who collected trophies in curling, golfing, and baseball. He won turkeys in the New Dayton annual trap shoot. His life work included managing the New Dayton general store for 57 years, as well as the post office for 43 years. He was known for his sense of humor and generosity.

Harry is survived by his sister Glenna Gorrill, brother Gerry Gorrill, sister-in-law Kay Gorrill, brother-in-law Clayton Soice, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and two great-great nieces.

Harry was predeceased by his parents and his sister Dorothy Soice.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 12:00PM and 1:00PM, on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Reverend Ron Harris officiating.
