Harold “Lorne” Hall

It is with deep sorrow and gentle relief that the family announces the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather, Harold “Lorne” Hall on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the age of 97 years in Lethbridge, Alberta. Lorne was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Kaye.
Lorne will be forever loved and fondly remembered by his son Dr. Barry L. Hall (Norrie) and grandchildren Chris, Kevin, Craig, Amanda; daughter Loreen K. Vanderkooy RN and grandchildren Jeremy (Stephanie), Tosha, Tonya; great grandchildren Vanessa and Raeden; brother Ralph (Jean).
Lorne was born in Toronto, Ontario, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. While overseas, he met Kaye, the love of his life. Together they led a life of love, adventure and joy. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, independence, big band music, travelling, storytelling, ability to repair “everything”, his resilience and courage.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Terry Shillington, officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
