It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Nana, VERA LILLIAN GORZITZA.

Vera passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years on December 23, 2011 at Fairmont Extendicare with her family by her side. With assistance from family and caring neighbors Mom was able to live in her home until recently.

Those who will go on to miss her laughter, good-natured banter, baking and love of gardening include: Her son Fred Gorzitza, and daughter-in-law Marilyn Gorzitza, of Cold Lake, Alberta. Her son William (Ed) Gorzitza, and daughter-in-law Lois Gorzitza, of Coaldale, Alberta. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Bill & Kim, Carter, and Victoria Gorzitza; Sandy Gorzitza & Len; Karen & Tim Murtland; Brenda, and Tyler Munnings; Debbie & Chris, Nicole, and Ryan Fields.

Vera was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Gorzitza, her parents Charlie & Ada Morton, her sister Elizabeth, and her brothers John and Charles.

Vera was a long-time resident of Lethbridge, having moved here at the age of seven. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives, especially her close neighbors and coffee pals Cheryl, Joan, and Truda.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, with Canon Allan McCuaig officiating.
