Gordon Mair

1936 ~ 2015

Gordon William Mair passed unexpectedly but peacefully on October 25, 2015 at 3pm in Lethbridge Alberta. Gordon was born in Nelson BC to Thomas and Violet (Muirhead) Mair on November 21, 1936. While living in Lethbridge for all of his adult life, Gordon worked at Varsteel, drove Taxi and then became a Bus driver for the rest of his career.

Gordon then married Elizabeth Elsie (Holoboff) Mair (deceased) and gave birth to Robert and Thomas Mair. Gordon was a very very kind man, loved camping, fishing and became a very good folk artist with his wood carvings.

Gordon then married Clara (Hurley) Mair and they were together till his passing. Clara brings Lisa (her daughter), Amanda (granddaughter), Gerry (grandson) and now Skyler (great granddaughter) to the Mair family.

Gordon is survived by his sons Robert Mair & (Alejandra Mair wife & Kiyanna Mair his Granddaughter) ,Thomas Mair & (Cindy Fehr), his brother Don and sister Norma and his wife Clara (Hurley) Mair & Daughter Lisa Hurley & Amanda Hurley-Granddaughter & Skyler great-granddaughter,. Gordon is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, their families and long life friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge.
