Gim Gook Yip

MRS. GIM GOOK YIP of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Henry Yip, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, May 30, 2011 at the age of 81 years.

Born in Hoiping, China on July 9, 1931, the late Mrs. Gim Gook Yip, with her older son Henry Jr. immigrated to Canada in 1965.

She is survived by her sons; Henry Jr. (Julie) Yip of Lethbridge, Fred Yip of Lethbridge, and daughter Judy (Grant) Speers and grandchildren Braden and Taylor Speers of Edmonton; grandchildren Jocelyne and Jonathan (Corrine) Yip and great-grandchildren Katelynn and Caden Yip of Calgary; sister-in-law Mrs. Chow Yuet Yip; nephew K.C. (Joan) Yip and their children Bobby, Willie and Holly; niece Annie Tam and her children Fred and Sandy Tam and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Mrs. Gim Gook Yip was predeceased by her husband Henry, and by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

A Private Family Service will be held.

Relatives and friends are welcome to pay their respects between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Friday, June 3, 2011 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.

Interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
