Gertrude Rennie

GERTRUDE RENNIE born September 20, 1920, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, after a lengthy stay. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband of 66 years, Henry Rennie; 4 children, Kathleen (Aaron) Campbell, Heather (Joe) Voort, Stewart (Sandi) Rennie, Malcolm Rennie (Nancy Buckanan); 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Alice Rhodes. Gert was predeceased by her16 brothers and sisters and a grandson Brad Overn.

Gert lived most of her life in Lethbridge and raised her children there. She was active in the Legion's Ladies Auxiliary and both Senior Centers. She worked at Eaton's, Fraser Fabrics and Silk-O-Lina until she retired. Her family was the most important part of her life and she was a big part of all of their lives. She will be sadly missed.

The family would like to thank Dr. VanDerPol and all of the staff at the hospital who were in charge of her care.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 - 4 Ave South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Lois Punton, officiating.,p>
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Gert's memory to a charity of one's choice.
