Kirsten Hope Gerard

Official Obituary of

5/8/1994 - to - 4/10/2021

Ms. Kirsten Hope Gerard of Lethbridge, beloved spouse of Mr. Cam Johnson,  passed away suddenly on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the age of 27 years.

Kirsten was born at 12:01 pm on August 5, 1994 at Lethbridge Regional Hospital. She was quite the surprise to her parents, Tammy and Darren as previous ultrasounds stated the welcome of a boy. Regardless, Kirsten was loved at first sight and brought a lot of joy into their lives. She was the second child born to Tammy Gerard.

Kirsten grew up in Shaughnessy and Turrin. Elementary schools attended were Dorothy Dalgliesh and Iron Springs. She then attended Picture Butte High School. In grade 7, Kirsten made the Picture Butte Sugar Queens Volleyball team and received a 1st place medal along side her teammates. She then relocated to Lethbridge and attended Victoria Park High School. At the age of 16, she started work at Tim Hortons and Quality Inn and Suites. Years later she joined her dad and was employed at Porcupine Corral Cleaners of Picture Butte.

Kirsten was quiet, big hearted and fun loving. She loved to joke and spend time with family (special mention of uncle Chachi and auntie Peggy), her sisters Stephanie and Miranda were very important people in her life. She loved fashion, makeup, crafts and small dogs. Unfortunately, Kirsten was unable to have children of her own. She accepted that fact, and said she was meant to be here for her nieces and nephews (special mention of Emma).

In April, Kirsten started dating Cam Johnson. She had told her aunt Peggy that she now knew what real love felt like and was truly happy. They took many trips and introduced him to many family members.

Besides her loving spouse Cam, Kirsten is survived by her parents, Darren Bodnar (Cathy) and Tammy Gerard; sisters Stephanie Gerard and Miranda Gerard; nieces Emma, Averi, Ceriah, and Serenity; nephews Aiden, Tiegan, Leland, Owen, Kingston and Noah; grandmother Arlie Bodnar; uncles Marvin, Kelly, Henry, Calvin, Jerry and Wade; aunties Janice, Adeline, Blanche, Marlene, Peggy, Robin and Debbie.

Kirsten was predeceased by her grandfathers George Bodnar and Henry Gerard; maternal grandmother Irene Gerard; uncles Arnold, Jerry and Allister; aunt Roberta Gerard and 5 first cousins.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at Martin Brothers Riverview Chapel.
