Georgia Martin

Our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother GEORGIA H. MARTIN (nee Brogden) passed away in her 96th year on June 16th, 2012.

Georgia was born in Middlesbrough, Engalnd and sailed to Canada with her family in 1926 on the SS Alaunia (II) where they settled in the Rural, SK area. In 1939 she married Daniel Martin and they made their home in Lethbridge where she raised her family and worked at SS Kresgee's for 25 years.

Georgia is survived by her two sons D. David (Ellie) Martin of High River and Ken (Elaine) Martin of Picture Butte; three grandchildren Dan (Marla) Martin, Diane Martin and Debbra Coish; and five great-grandchildren Teegan Martin, Dale and Kyra Coish and Brooke and Wyatt Martin.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Daniel, granddaughter Denise, infant grandson, as well as two brothers and two sisters and daughter-in-law Doreen.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 29, 2012 at ARCHMOUNT CEMETERY, West Lethbridge, with Canon James Robinson, officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
