The Official Obituary of

George Shafranski 1923 ~ 2013 It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our grandpa, George Shafranski. He passed away at the Chinook Regional hospital on Friday June 14, with his family by his side. George was born in the Ukraine, raised in a close knit Christian family until his teens, at which time he moved to Lethbridge. Shortly after that he met the love of his life, Mary (predeceased). George and Mary then adopted their son Roman (predeceased),and remained in a close Christian family until the passing of Mary. He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren Shane and Angel Shafranski both of Lethbridge; also many friends he had made through his journey in life. George worked at School District #51 as a caretaker; he always went out of his way to assist anyone he could. George touched many lives with his kindness and generosity as he always believed that anyone would do. A special thanks to the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital on the fourth level. A Celebration of his Life will be held 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL | 610 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge. The interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside Mary.
