George Hofer 1919 ~ 2014 George J Hofer of Raymond, Alberta, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Hofer, passed away peacefully in his home on August 13, 2014 at the age of 95 years. He was ordained to the ministry in September 1965, he was a faithful minister of the Gospel. He is survived by his children; James (Esther), Betty (Leon) Baer, Susan (Edwin) Troyer, Laura (Charles) Stauffer, David (Shawna), Ann (Ken) Weaver, Grace (James) Maldaner, Evelyn (John) Edwards, George (Naomi), John (Grace), Tom (Marlene), Mark; twenty nine grandchildren; forty five great-grandchildren, and two sisters Sarah and Annie. Besides his loving wife Elizabeth, he was predeceased by his son Joseph, grandson Byron, and son-in-law Leon. The brothers and sisters wish to thank their sister Evelyn for her gentle, unending, loving care. We also thank the home care nurses and the doctors of the Raymond Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St. S., Lethbridge, AB. Interment to follow at the Village of Stirling Cemetery.
