MR. ABE HENRY FRIESEN of Lethbridge passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the age of 90 years.
Abe was born in Cadillac, Saskatchewan and spent his early years farming. He moved to Coaldale in 1936 and pursued a career in carpentry, working on many large projects including the Nolan Bridge. He was a veteran of WWII, serving actively in Europe.
Abe is survived by his sister Martha Niessen and many nieces and nephews. Close to him where Jim Niessen, Jerry and Shirley DeJager, Dorothy Kreft and Harvey Rogalsky. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Katherine Friesen, as well as two brothers and 3 sisters.
A special thank you to the staff of West Highlands for the excellent care Abe received while he lived there.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Rudy Heidebrecht officiating. Interment to follow in the Coaldale Cemetery, Mennonite Section.
