Frieda McLaren

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of FRIEDA McLAREN of Lethbridge, beloved wife Clifford McLaren of 61 years. Frieda was born in Eatonia, Saskatchewan. Frieda passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the age of 80 years.

Frieda is lovingly remembered by her husband Mac (Clifford), her children; Sharon, Deb, Glenn and Jan (Albert) Catterson; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Frieda was predeceased by her parents Henry and Ida Finkbeiner, her son Randy, grandson Shane, 2 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nieces and 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

Mom will be remembered for her quick wit and humour, hospitality, her gift of music and her awesome cooking and baking. Mom loved all her family and enjoyed the get-togethers; singing around the piano, as she played country music and hymns. Mom was blessed with good health until recently and she showed tremendous courage throughout her illness.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the ROLLING HILLS COMMUNITY HALL, Rolling Hills, Alberta, with Pastor Barry Seifert, officiating. Interment will follow in the Rolling Hills Cemetery.
