Frances Godlonton 1935 ~ 2014 On Oct. 23 I lost my very best friend, my lover and my soul mate of 62 years. She will be sorely missed by her children Milo, Miles (Carol), Troy Fleming and Spike her furry four legged companion. Her grandchildren Amanda (Dave) Hyde, Ryan Godlonton and Cody Fleming, and her new great grandson Emerson James Raymond Hyde (EJ) whom she had only met thru Skype, her sister Irene (Bill) Kerr, relatives and her many friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest especially her log home on the acreage, her needles whether they be knitting or crochet, making and sipping her wine, plus the countless thousands of hours volunteering at the Seniors Centre and Regional Hospital. She loved our 5th wheel trailer that took us from ocean to ocean, Mexico to the Yukon, and the many camping trips with the grandchildren. In later years she thoroughly enjoyed the many local campgrounds but the her favorite spot was on the hill at St. Mary's dam, sitting around the campfire with knitting needles sipping wine with her many friends, watching the sunset over the mountains. ""Sitting Here"" You can't smell the air till you've been there, high upon a mountain peak Where each small flower stands out like a tower, magnificent yet so bleak There is not a sound for miles around, but your heart beat, your staff and your feet You know right there and then it will never end, this love you have for the land.
