Florence White

FLORENCE (FLOSSY) WHITE of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Clarence (Bill) White, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the age of 96 years.

Our families are so fortunate that we could share Mom's love and kindness for so many years. She was a caring person and loved her family dearly.

Mom was married to Clarence (Bill) White, who passed away in 1978. They owned the White Hardware in Carmangay for 21 years. Mom was a very strong person and operated the store herself for seven years after Dad's passing.

They had four children, Ben who passed away in 2009 (Helen) of Lethbridge, Joan Jones (David Tubby) who passed away in 1967 of Lethbridge, Gary (Letty-Lynn) of Calgary, Brian of Lethbridge.

Her family was complete with seven grandchildren Cindy (Bob) Tinordi, Darren (Tracy) White, Bill (Maureen) White, Cathy (Darcy) Fritz, Rob (Laurie) Jones, Kari (Gerry) Dubanski, Kelly (Deanna) White; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Mom was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star, she faithfully attended the Anglican Church in Carmangay, and was the organist there for several years. Mom will be laid to rest beside Dad in Carmangay, which was still ""home"" to her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the CARMANGAY UNITED CHURCH. Interment will follow in the Carmangay Cemetery.
