Florence Hudson

MRS. FLORENCE HUDSON of Picture Butte, beloved wife of the late Ken Hudson, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, on March 21, 2008 at the age of 77 years.

Florence was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and had lived in Vancouver and Lethbridge. Florence and Ken were married on January 18, 1949, settling in Picture Butte. They moved to their farm in 1953. Florence was very involved with the Battersea Women's Institute, Lethbridge Northern Busy Bees Girls Club, Scouting, Searches and Live Ins. Once in Picture Butte she became involved with the AG Society, P.B. Seniors, Art Club and Bench Fair. She had a real passion for ceramics, painting, crocheting, knitting and hardanger.

Florence is survived by her sons Ray, Don (Anne), Hugh (Wendy), Bruce (Naomi), Ken; grandchildren Brad, Colin, Jeff, Stacey, Katie, Allie, Cassie, Kevin; brother George (Sharon) Harper; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her loving husband Ken, Florence was predeceased by her daughter Linda.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 528 Maple St., Picture Butte, AB with Pastor Glenda Wert, officiating. Interment to follow in Archmount Cemetery.
