Paul Stanley Flamand
Official Obituary of
27/11/1936 - to - 25/2/2024
Paul Stanley Flamand of Warner, Alberta, beloved husband of the late Doris Flamand, passed away peacefully at Park Meadows - Good Samaritans on February 25, 2024, at the age of 87 years.
Paul was born and raised in Battleford, Saskatchewan. He found the love of his life in Doris and married her on August 8, 1972. Paul and Doris blended their families together, shortly before. Paul joined his extended family at Doenz Ranches on November 27, 1967; his 31st birthday. This was the start of a lifelong friendship with Leo & Helen and the rest of the Doenz family. Paul and Doris raised their family on the ranch for the next 11 years before moving into Warner. After moving into town, Paul worked at Dri-Land Feeders and the Department of Highways for over 20 years respectively. Paul always was a caring person and carried that with him as a volunteer firefighter with the Village of Warner. He was always available for a call. His helpful character followed him as he always was available to help members of the Warner 4-H Beef Club, not only with his own family, but with all who needed the help. Making nylon rope halters was one of his hobbies. Paul always had a smile on his face and that attracted many friendships. After his retirement, Paul was always welcome with his drop-ins for a chat or a coffee at the Ranch, the Feedlot, the Fire Dept, or even at the local service station where the "old guys" hung out. A lot of memories have been instilled into the hearts of family and friends; hopefully those happy stories will be shared and remembered for years to come.
Paul is survived by his only daughter, Merlyn Smith-Gladue; Step-children Donna Pyne, Darrell (Marla) Ross and Larry Ross; Grandchildren Brandon (Breanne) Smith, Judy (Chris) Hughes, Cathy (Wyatt) Whillans, Harold Pyne (Ashley Sugimoto), Rachel Reed and Shanita Hepworth; and Great grandchildren Destiny and Jesse Calder, Weston Whillans, James and Jackson Reed, Remigold and Poet Rose Hepworth.
A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, March 11, 2024, at MARTIN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, 610 - 4 STREET S, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Jason Carroll officiating.
The family have asked that in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Warner Fire Department, Box 218, Warner, Alberta, T0K 2L0 or the Lethbridge Alzheimer's Society, #40, 1202 - 2nd Avenue South Lethbridge, AB T1J 0E3.
