Evert van de Bruinhorst

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, EVERT van de BRUINHORST at the age of 73 years on Tuesday, December 29, 2009.

He is survived by Elizabeth, his loving wife of 52 years, and his children; Gert (Jeanette), Nella (Jim) van den Berg, Corrie (Peter) van den Berg, Edy (Joanne), Gerard (Hennie), Lida (Ed) Neels, Mary (Rick) de Kok, 55 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 2 sisters, 1 brother-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law and their families.

Evert was born in Kootwijkerbroek, the Netherlands on September 28, 1936. He immigrated with his wife and children to Canada in 1975. He farmed in the Nobleford area until the time of his passing.

Evert was predeceased by his parents Gerrit and Cornelia, an infant daughter, brother Gerard, brothers-in-law Henk Klok and Berend Berends, and grandson Jan Dunsbergen.

Family and friends are invited to offer condolences between 7:30 and 8:30 pm on Friday, January 1, 2010 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION OF PICTURE BUTTE.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION OF PICTURE BUTTE, 601 - 3a Street South, with Reverend C. Sonnevelt, officiating. Interment to follow in the Picture Butte Memorial Cemetery.
