Eunice Minor

Suddenly, the chinook wind took a breath, the clock struck midnight, and Prince Charming awakened Sleeping Beauty with a long-awaited kiss. Off into the light of a full January moon, into a sky filled with stars, (and one special satellite) they danced, together again, forever this time.

EUNICE M. MINOR, born December 20, 1933 in Climax, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully, after a brief but brave fight, surrounded by her family and the loving, exceptional care of the staff of the Milk River Palliative Care Hospital, at midnight on January 21, 2011, at the age of 77 years.

Eunice was predeceased by her sweetheart and best friend, Bob Minor, on May 14, 1986. She was the last remaining member of her Vold family and was also predeceased by her daughter Kathleen Eunice on March 22, 1957.

Eunice is survived by her son Len Minor and wife Linda of Saskatoon, Holly Sekiya and husband Brian of Calgary, Lori Minor of Coutts, and Shelley Stachniak and husband Orest of Edmonton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Jennifer, Jerry, Janeece, Stephanie, Jesse, Ashley, Shawn, Megan and Nicole, great grandchildren Ben, Brogan and Aleesa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the COUTTS UNITED CHURCH, Coutts, Alberta.

A Reception will follow at the Coutts Civic Centre. The coffee pot is on!!

In lieu of flowers, Eunice would be touched by donations made on her behalf to support the Coutts United Church, of which she was a founding and lifelong member.
