Ethel Currie

MRS. ETHEL MAURINE CURRIE (nee Cowie) of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Lloyd Currie, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the age of 75 years.

Ethel was born on December 2, 1932. Her parents Esther and William Cowie and brother Jack farmed in the Foremost Area. Ethel was happiest when she was around family and friends. After moving to Lethbridge, Ethel met Lloyd and they were married on April 8, 1953. They were about to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary next month.

Ethel is survived by her husband Lloyd Currie; a daughter Cheri (Maurice); sons Craig (Denise), Brady (Le-Anna) and Curtis; 5 grandchildren, Daynan, Chad, Chelsey, Kari and Dale; 4 great-grandchildren Jaiden, Mercedes, Brett and Brooklyn; one brother Jack (Luella) Cowie; in-laws Fred Karren, Maude (Lloyd) Orcutt and several nieces, nephews and their families. Ethel was predeceased by her parents Bill and Esther Cowie; Lloyd's parents Neil and Maggie Currie; her precious grandson Dallas; in-laws Walter (Reta) Currie, Luella Karren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Cathy Coates, officiating.
