Ernie Szucs 1933 ~ 2014 Mr. Ernie Szucs of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Elsie Szucs passed away peacefully with his children by his side at the St. Michael's Health Centre on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Born on August 11, 1933 in Bosarkany, Hungary, Ernie immigrated to Canada in 1956. He worked for the CPR from 1957 until his retirement in 1993. Ernie enjoyed fishing with his wife, gardening, and numerous trips to Hawaii, Hungary and Radium Hot Springs with his wife Elsie. Ernie was a member of the Hungarian Canadian Old Timers Society, whose functions he always thoroughly enjoyed. Besides his loving wife Elsie, Ernie is predeceased by his father Endre, mother Erma and stepmother Erzébet. Ernie is survived by his step daughter Cynthia (Jay) Harris of Lethbridge, AB, step son Richard (Wendy) Parascak of Lethbridge, AB; grandchildren Scott (Ronda) Harris of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Cam (Angie) Harris of Coaldale, AB; brother Endre (Ibolya) of Hungary; step brothers Leslie of Hungary and John of Austria, as well as a niece and nephew and their families in Hungary and good friend Julia Bethlehem of Lethbridge. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 23, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Deacon Frank Peta, officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to ST.
