MR. EMERICK ""AMOS"" LACZO of Carmangay, beloved husband of Joy Laczo of 57 years, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at the age of 87 years.
Amos was born on the homestead in Carmangay. He spent his whole life on the farm; it was his pride and joy. He received the Alberta Centennial Homestead award in 2004. He was a community minded man. He donated time, energy and money to everybody. He was everybody's friend. Amos was a 50 year member of Lions International, a life member of the Carmangay Curling Club and one of the major forces behind the Senior's Centre. His buddies Willard, Jim, Bud, Lloyd, Carl and Andy will feel a big loss. As well as his close life friends he made many new ones in his retirement years. He will be sorrowfully missed.
Besides his loving wife Joy he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Amos was predeceased by his parents Emerick and Francesca Laczo; four brothers Joe, Frank, Louis, Peter and his sister Annie.
Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 6PM and 8PM, on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S., Lethbridge.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3PM, on Friday, July 6, 2007 at BOWVILLE CEMETERY followed by a reception under the Grandstand at Bully's, 3401 Parkside Dr. South, Lethbridge.
