Elvina Smith

ELVINA B. SMITH nee (Lois May Anderson) of Lethbridge passed away at St. Michael's Palliative Care on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the age of 70 years.

Elvina was born, raised and educated in Claresholm, Alberta. She completed her nursing at St. Michael's Hospital in 1959. She then continued to work at various hospitals throughout Alberta, before settling down to work for 26 years at the Claresholm Care Centre, retiring to Lethbridge in 2001.

Elvina will be sadly missed by her two daughters Alberta (Darryl) Willison of Lethbridge and Lorena (Rick) Hillgardener; ""son"" Dudley (Dog); two grandchildren Brennen and Kyle; sister Sharon (Ted) Van Den Hengel and her brother Vernon ""Andy"" (Pat) Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Elvina was predeceased by her son James, parents Mabel and Eric Ekensteen and brothers Roy and Lloyd.

At the request of Elvina, there will be no funeral service, however, a private family service will be held at a later date.
