It is with great sadness that time shared with our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, has come to an end here on earth. MARY 'BLANCHE' ELLIOTT passed away on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010, at the age of 99 years.

Blanche was the beloved wife of the late 'Dr. Bob' Elliott, mother of Daryl (Inga) Elliott of Edmonton and Carol (Kenn) Blom of Lethbridge. Besides her parents (Cassie and Alfred Lawson), Blanche is predeceased by two brothers (Lorne and Henry) and one sister (Larraine Brown).

Blanche was born in Lippentot, June 29, 1910, and raised in Oak Lake, Manitoba. Upon receiving her teaching certificate, Blanche taught grades 1 - 8 in a one room school house at Sandhurst. She was highly regarded by students who continued to be in touch throughout all her years. On June 29th, 1938 Blanche married Rev. Bob Elliott, and together they provided dedicated service within the United Church of Canada in various locations across Canada, including Southminster United Church in Lethbridge.

Blanche was a special lady who radiated beauty from the inside out and her sense of humor was contagious. She will be greatly missed by her family and dear friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Strank as well as express appreciation for the care provided by the staff at Edith Cavell and to all those who have reached out with kindness.

Private family funeral services will be held.

To honor Blanche's memory, share a smile with those you meet today.
