Elizabeth Saly

1908 ~ 2007

A long-term resident of Lethbridge who lived a full life passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2007.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1948, daughter Margaret Gugyelka (Leslie) in 1997 and two infant children in Hungary during the late 1920's. Surviving family members include sons Andrew (Elfreda) in Calgary, Vic (Loretta) in Edmonton, seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was born in Petervasara, Hungary and immigrated to the Lethbridge area in 1933 to join her husband, who had arrived earlier. She was an avid gardener and allowed the seasons to govern her life.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Edith Cavell Centre for the care provided to our Mother over the last several years. The family also extends their gratitude and acknowledgement to friends of our Mother for their friendship and support to her over the many years.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Mountain View Cemetery, 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge.

Those who wish memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
