Elizabeth Mandel

MRS. ELIZABETH MANDEL of Barnwell, beloved wife of the late Mr. Mike J Mandel, passed away on February 22, 2007 at the age of 83 years.

Elizabeth was born and raised in the Magrath area and moved to Monarch as a young girl. She married Mike and together they raised their family and farmed around Southern Alberta. She loved to garden and knit slippers for her grandchildren. Elizabeth was the last surviving sibling of her large family.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Ruth (Joe) Waldner of Barnwell and Barbara (Bill) Wipf of Nobleford; sons Ben (Merita) Mandel of Spirit River, AB, Isaac (Arlene) Mandel of Carstairs and Theodore (Rose) Mandel of Magrath; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00PM and 9:00PM on Friday, February 23, 2007 at LETHBRIDGE MENNONITE CHURCH, 4303 - 3 Ave South, Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the LETHBRIDGE MENNONITE CHURCH. Interment in Monarch Colony Cemetery.
