Elizabeth Forrayi

     Mrs. Elizabeth Forrayi of Calgary, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Forrayi, passed away at Evanston Grand Village in Calgary on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the age of 95 years.

     Elizabeth was born in Hadvikfalva, Romania and immigrated to Canada in 1957. She settled in Taber and surrounding areas finally settling in Lethbridge in 1969. She was a dedicated member of the Hungarian Canadian Old Timer Society of Lethbridge. She loved gardening, cooking Hungarian dishes and she was great at sewing.

            Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Isabel (Reid) Birrell; son Joe (Engie) Forrayi; grandchildren Donna Buck, Darren Birrell, Michelle Couture, Joanne Isaak, Marianne Forrayi as well as 8 great-grandchildren.

            A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
