MISS ELIZABETH DOERKSEN of Coaldale passed away peacefully to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the age of 83 years.
Born in Russia, Elizabeth immigrated to Canada in 1930. She attended school in Coaldale and spent her adult life working as a secretary.
Elizabeth is survived by her sisters; Margaret (Ben) Reimer, Ann (Harold) Kasper, Helen (George) Penner, Katherine (John) Willms, Esther (Abe) Hiebert, her brothers; Ben (Agnes), Henry (Kay), David (Carolyn) and Art (Eleanor), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her parents Bernhard and Elizabeth, a brother in infancy, her sister Mary, and her niece, Eleanor Wiens.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00 and 9:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th Street South, Lethbridge.
Interment will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Coaldale Community Cemetery, Mennonite Section.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114-18 Street, Coaldale, with Pastor Rudy Heidebrecht officiating.
