Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Leavitt (Simpson) of Okotoks, beloved wife of the late Mr. Jerald K. Leavitt and Lyn Simpson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the age of 82 years.
Ann was born in Ross Shire, England on April 14, 1937. She trained as a Midwife and Nurse in Scotland and came to Canada to work in The North West Territories. She later transferred to Cardston, Alberta to work at the Blood Tribe Indian Hospital. Ann was also an active member of the United Church.
Ann Leavitt is survived by her daughter Janice (Vince) Gosling of Okotoks, AB; her son Brian (Tamara) Leavitt of Creston, B.C; grandchildren, Shelby, Tianna, Molly, and Joshua; and brothers, Chris (Judith) MacDonald, and Hector (Jane) MacDonald.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, on Friday, August 23, 2019 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Pastor Al Litchfield, officiating
