It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, son, father and grandfather, Edward John Van Oort at the age of 64 on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joanne; his father Chris Van Oort; his children Tom (Elsbeth) Van Oort, Jessica (Arie) Van Ginkel, Jerome (Suzan) Van Oort, Emily (Gary) Van Leeuwen, Crystal (Nathan) Van Ginkel, Katie (Gerben) Kersten; 33 grandchildren.
As well as siblings, Tony (Lineke) Van Oort, Leonard (Theresa) Van Oort, Robert (Catherine) Van Oort, Monica (Jaco) Boot; Jenny (Chris) Klaassen, Bill (Hannie) Bisschop, Dianne (Case) Klaassen, Marion (Bill) Klaassen, Barb (Gerald) Klop.
He was predeceased by his mother Bertha Van Oort and his parents in law John and Marie Bisschop.
Condolences will be held at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPELS, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at REFORMED CONGREGATION OF NORTH AMERICA, 235039, AB-3A, Monarch.
