Service Details
EDWARD ""ED"" DWORAK of Picture Butte passed away at home on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the age of 60 years following a 40 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Ed leaves behind to cherish memories his sister, Linda Borggard, and his very special friend Jan Tichler, as well as her children and grandchildren, and numerous relatives in Germany and Poland.
Ed was born July 12, 1951 at the Galt Hospital, four months after his parents arrived in Canada, and grew up in Picture Butte. After graduating from the U of L, Ed moved to Hussar to begin his teaching career. Two years later he moved to Mossleigh, where he continued teaching and then became the principal. He held this position until he was forced to end his career due to his illness. He returned to Picture Butte until his passing.
Ed loved to play cards, watch M.A.S.H., Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune, and above all loved eagles. You would never see Ed without a western shirt on. He enjoyed the annual trek to William Watson Lodge in Kananaskis.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, Johanna and Anton.
A private Graveside Service will be held. We ask that you spend precious time with someone you love. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 724 13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB, T1H 2T1.
Thanks to Jan, Deb, Lori, Jesse and Helen for the fabulous care.
Farewell to our hero.
