Edna Jean (Evans) Marnoch, beloved wife of the late Raymond Marnoch, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on August 11, 2009.
She is survived by her son Keith (Carolyn), her daughter Sandra, and grandchildren Chris (Kim) and Brandon, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews from Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Ontario, Austria and Jamaica.
She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Jack, Tom, George, Marion and Marjorie.
Born and raised in Floral, Saskatchewan, she was the youngest daughter of David and Bessie Evans. Edna was stricken with polio at 18 and overcame the physical struggles of the disease. She moved to Banff to benefit from the warm mineral spring waters. She then moved to Lethbridge, meeting her husband Raymond and began her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of 5B Unit, Carol Hudson from Home Care, Dr. Longair and Dr. Wilde for her care during her stay at the hospital, as well as the staff and residents of Martha House for the loving atmosphere where she resided. Thanks to Connie Watmough and Sandy Wittig for making mother feel special with foot massages or a new hairdo.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Cathy Coates, officiating.
Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery.
