EDNA MARY LOCKYER (nee Hemphill) of Canmore Alberta, beloved wife of the late Charles Lockyer, passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Canmore on August 1st, 2008.

Edna was born on April 17, 1922 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan to Harry and Gertrude Lavina Hemphill.

Edna was predeceased by her brothers Harry and Norman and her sister Althea. She is survived by her sister Colleen (Elvin) Holtz of Red Deer (she will deeply miss the daily telephone chats that she enjoyed with Edna). She will be deeply missed by her loving children Bonnie Lee (Bill) Chilton of Winnipeg, Manitoba and son Alan (Lynda) Lockyer of Canmore, Alberta. Edna loved every minute of her life that was spent with her grandchildren, Sherri Flint of Abbotsford, BC and Daryl (Jamie) Lockyer of Lethbridge, Alberta and Billy and Kris Chilton of Winnipeg and Jamie Kaplan. She also will be missed by her great-grandchildren Bradley, Riley and Kelsey Flint.

A Private Graveside Service will take place in the Family Plot at the Hillcrest Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at KNOX PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in Weyburn, SK with Reverend Ida Goulet officiating.
