EDNA BITTNER

1939-2018

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the peaceful passing of our dear Mother and Grandmother, Mrs. Edna Bittner, beloved wife of the late Albert Bittner, at Legacy Lodge on March 19, 2018, at the age of 78 years.

Edna leaves to cherish her precious memories with her daughter Janet, of Lethbridge and son Bob (Chris), of Calgary. Edna was a proud Grandma (Nana) to Ryan, Tyler (Abbi), Bradley and Janeen. Also survived by Edna is her brothers-in-law John (Evelyn) Bittner and Herman (Linda) Bittner; sisters-in-laws Marie Cook (late Dennis) and Olga (Joe) Ostafichuk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Edna was predeceased by her husband Albert Bittner; parents Peter and Katerina Wiebe; sisters Mary (Jake) Wiens and Margaret (Jake) Eckert; brother John Wiebe; parents-in-law Reinhold and Maria Bittner; brother-in-law Julius (Alla) Bittner, Dennis Cook; and sister-in-law Alma (Vince) Lustig.

Edna loved to keep busy. She loved cooking and baking. Her Grandchildren always loved her buckets of cookies they’d go home with. She loved flowers, gardening, sewing, puzzles and scrapbooking. Edna cherished her family and will be greatly missed by all.
