Edith Stewart

MRS. EDITH REJINE STEWART passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, August 1, 2008, at the age of 83 years, beloved wife to the late Everette J. Boudreau who predeceased her in 1971.

She is survived by her loving children, Eileen Boudreau of Coaldale, David (Susan) Boudreau of Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, and Ron (Shirley) Boudreau of Vulcan. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Jesse, Donald, Carol, Lisa, Dulcie, David and Amanda; 11 great grandchildren, Megan, Jamie, David, Matthew, Callie, Madeline, Colby, Teri, Kira, Shandel and Kaitlyn. Edith is predeceased by an infant son and two infant daughters; and a beloved grandson David Jr. She is predeceased by her second husband Walter Stewart of Vulcan in 1980.

Born on April 1, 1925 in Lower Clarke's Harbour, Nova Scotia, Edith was raised and educated at Clarke's Harbour. She married Everette in 1944 and together they raised their family in Wedgeport, NS.

Edith worked as a seamstress for many years in Yarmouth, NS. Following Everette's death in February of 1971, the family moved to Calgary where she continued to work as a seamstress. She moved to Vulcan in 1972 where she worked at the Parkland Nursing home as a caregiver. In 1991 she retired to Lethbridge where she has resided until the time of her passing.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge. Interment to follow in the family plot in Wedgeport Nova Scotia.
