MISS EDITH OLSON of Vulcan passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the age of 86 years.
Edith was born in Kirkcaldy, Alberta on April 30, 1922 to John Olaf and Eday Olson. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 as a radio telephone operator. She taught school in several Southern Alberta communities until her retirement.
Edith is survived by four sisters Mable Howerton, Dorothy Stewart, Hazle Congdon, and Rena Hodge, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents John and Eday Olson, two sisters Mary Ruark and Mildred Crick, and one brother Glen Olson.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Vulcan Cemetery.
