It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of wife, daughter and mother to four beautiful children: Natane, Nickle, Nico & Silas.  Simone Eagle Child (nee Irvine) passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Lethbridge, AB., where she raised her family.

Simone met and married Noel Eagle Child and together lived in Cranbrook, B.C. where Noel was employed as a groundskeeper at the golf course with the St. Eugene Mission resort. They later moved to Lethbridge with Simone returning to school to compliment her education. Her education saw her employed with several companies including a short stint with Walsh Wilkins LLP.

Simone was always concerned for the well-being of her children, she was most comfortable performing household duties in ensuring they were well-fed, clothed and entertained.  She loved going on walks or visiting with neighbours and friends to share stories. Simone dearly loved her children and would ensure their needs would be satisfied.

Simone was born in Kahkewistahaw, Saskatchewan but later moved to Alberta where she eventually met and married Noel. Together, they raised their children traditionally with the Blackfoot spirituality deeply rooted in their teachings. Simone will be sadly missed by her children and all those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on Monday, August 30, 2021 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta

Interment will follow at  the St. Mary cemetery on the Blood reserve on Monday, August 30, 2021 August 27, 2021 where she will be with her husband Noel’s family members who have made their journey.
