SHERMAN LLOYD DUNK, cherished husband of Lil Dunk passed away suddenly on December 31, 2007 at the age of 67. Sherman is also survived by his mother Alice Dunk, sister Ethel (Ron) Watmough, brother Elton (Carol) Dunk, daughter Tracey (Scott) Noble, son Michael Dunk, grandchildren Joshua, Andrew and Jenna, brother-in-law Marland (Marilyn) Larter and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Forrest Dunk and his daughter Jennifer Hill.

He was born on September 27, 1940 and spent the first 18 years of his life on the family farm at Warner. Due to hay fever and allergies he left the farm after graduating from Warner High School to embark on a diversified career in Business and Finance. This career took him to various locations in all four Western provinces. His most satisfying position involved training business personnel while working with the Federal Business Development Bank (BDC). He retired from the Barons Eureka Warner FCSS in 2000 and completed the circle by returning to Warner to enjoy retirement.

Sherman served for 6 years on the Village of Warner council, was on the first board of the Warner Girls Hockey School and was Chairman of the Board of Ridge Country Housing. In his spare time he loved to fish, camp and read. Sherman's fun-loving personality, positive attitude and sense of fairness endeared him to people wherever he lived and worked.

Cremation. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 5, 2007 at the WARNER ELKS HALL. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
