MARY DUNCAN of Elmvale, Ontario, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the age of 88 years.

Mary was born on March 28, 1921 to Angus and Catherine Duncan in a small town called Auchtrarder, Scotland. The first three years of Mary's life were spent in Scotland and then the family immigrated to Canada in 1924, settling in Nobleford after arriving in Montreal. Mary grew up in Nobleford on a farm and attended school at Rosebutte School to grade three and then went on to complete her grade eleven in Hardieville.

Mary worked various jobs until landing her job as a certified egg grader for more than twenty years, and this is a profession she fully enjoyed. Mary was an extremely hard worker and went to the Sandman Inn and retired as Head Housekeeper. She also enjoyed gardening, and the fellowship and support of the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Centre.

Mary is survived by her daughter Linda (Daniel) Oke of Barry, Ontario; sister Susan Duncan of Abbotsford, B.C.; grandchildren Darren, Charmayne, Bobbie and great-great-grandchildren Cory, Justen, Kristina and Daniel.
