MR. GEORGE FRANCIS DRAFFIN of Lethbridge passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the age of 69 years.

George was born in 1937 in Lethbridge, AB and went to Bowman School for grades 1-5, Fleetwood school for grades 6 and 7 and completed High School at LCI in 1955. During school, George worked as a delivery clerk at his Dad's drugstore, Draffin Drugs. After attending Montana State College in Bozeman, he moved to Calgary to work as a draftsman. In 1957 he enrolled in Montana State University in Business Administration completing his studies in 1961. He enjoyed his fraternity years at Montana State University. George moved back to Calgary and started working with Texaco as a handyman trainee, working until 1965. He then moved to Vancouver to promote his own invention, ""Shine Stand"". In December 1967 George married Mary and they moved back to Lethbridge in 1968 and worked for the Research Station. George attended the University of Lethbridge, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Education Degree.

George is survived by his son Greg (Sharla) Draffin of Lethbridge; one sister Marilyn (Jack) Fleming of Taber; one brother Rod (Martha) Draffin of Lethbridge; grandchildren Nicholas and Megan. He was predeceased by his parents George and Helen Draffin.
