Dr. Keith Lowings

Keith died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 10, 2021.

Besides his beloved wife Joan of 67 years, Keith is survived by his children: Malcolm (Majda), Christine, Pamela (Ivan); his three grandchildren (Michael (Anastasia), Katherine (Derek) and Jessica) and three great-grandchildren (Lily, Marian and Veronica); his brother-in-law Keith (Joyce) and their children Nichola (Anton) and Jacqueline (Oliver) and their children (Jackson, Bronwen and Bryn).

Keith was born and raised in Broadstairs, Kent, England.  Keith served in the British Royal Navy for two years before attending University of London - Guy's Hospital Medical School.

Keith and Joan emigrated to Lethbridge in 1957.  He joined the Roy Clinic to practice family medicine and touched the lives of many patients, their families and his colleagues.  He helped establish the Lethbridge Emergency Medical Services to provide 24-hour emergency care, initially at St. Michael's Hospital and then at Lethbridge Regional Hospital. 

Keith contributed many volunteer hours within the community.  He was a member of the Lethbridge Gyro Club for 62 years and served as District VIII Governor and later as President of Gyro International.  During these years, many life-long friendships were established. 

Keith will be dearly missed by his family, many friends and colleagues.  He will be remembered in our hearts and memories forever.

Following Keith's wishes, there will be no funeral.
