DOUGLAS DONG of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mei Kwai passed away peacefully on March 3, 2010 at the age of 84 years.

Born, raised and educated in Sun-Wui, Guangdong, China and immigrated to Canada in 1956. Owned and operated the Golden Gate Café in downtown Lethbridge from 1964 to 1982. Upon retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, travelling and helped care for grandchildren. He actively participated in the Lethbridge Chinese Cultural Society. He loved spending time with friends and family.

Douglas is survived by 4 sons and 1 daughter, Ron (Terri) of Lethbridge, Ken (Sui-Yee) of Oakville, Hon (Chi) of Toronto, Walter (Cindy) of Oakville and Ying (James) of Lethbridge and four grandchildren: Joyce (Ming), Bonnie (Jason), Chilbert and Veanne and three great grandchildren: Kyra, Alex and baby boy Grant as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 4:00PM and 6:00PM on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. FUNERAL CHAPELS, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, March 8, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. FUNERAL CHAPELS, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
