Dorothy Filkowski

MRS. DOROTHY FILKOWSKI of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late John Filkowski, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the age of 72 years.

Dorothy was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1949 with her aunt and her cousin. She travelled across Canada where she settled and met her husband John. Dorothy was a dedicated Mother and homemaker who loved her children and family.

Dorothy is survived by her children Lesley (Craig) Lencucha, Alan Filkowski, Eddy (Donna) Filkowski; grandchildren Alan ""Pucker"", Ebony, Denise, Jenna, Cole, Cody, Jade, Shelby and her great-grandchild Shayna. Besides her loving husband John, Dorothy is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Margaret Filkowski.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7PM, on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at ST. MARTHA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. W.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM, on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at ST. MARTHA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. W., Lethbridge, AB, with Father Dennis McDonald, celebrant. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
