Doris Bennet

Passed away, on January 24, 2008, DORIS MAY BENNETT (LYONS), at the age of 81 years, of Lethbridge.

Mom was born in King Township, York County, Ontario on May 6, 1926. She married George Lyons and together with their two oldest children George and Donna moved to Alberta. Sandra and Doug were later born in Lethbridge. After the passing of George, she was married to Sam Bennett, until his passing. Mom resided in Shaughnessy, Picture Butte and Lethbridge. She worked at Woodward's when it first opened and retired in 1990. Mom enjoyed gardening, homemaking, travelling and mostly her family.

Doris is survived by her children Donna Loxton of Coalhurst, Sandra (Roy) Omelchuk of Lethbridge, Doug (Jolayne) Lyons of Lethbridge; grandchildren Gerald Loxton, Craig (Michelle) Loxton, Chad Lyons (Heather Hofman), Nikki Lyons; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 surviving sisters in Ontario.

Doris was married to George Lyons who deceased in Sept of '72 and later was predeceased by Sam Bennett and also a son George Lyons.

A Private Family Service will be held, with interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
