Doreen Lumley

MRS. DOREEN LUMLEY of Coalhurst, beloved wife of the late Hugh Allen Lumley, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the age of 101 years.

Doreen, known as Grandma to most, was not only a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother; in her spare time she was a member of St. John's Ambulance and a nurse for Hilltoppers Gymkhana for a number of years. She was a founding member of Coalhurst 55+ Club and served on the board for quite a few years. She was a member of the Coalhurst Legion.

Doreen was predeceased by her husband Hugh, her parents, sons Barry and Allen, daughters-in-law Dorothy, Doris and Anne as well as one sister and five brothers.

She is survived by sons Bill (Ivy), Murray (Lenora), Ken, Lorne, Don (Sylvia), Joe (Jean) and daughter Myrna (Slim), as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Maj. Glen Habkirk officiating.

A Legion Tribute will be held.
