AILEEN DONALDSON passed away peacefully in her home with her son Mike by her side on Sunday August 24, 2008 at the age of 100.

Aileen was married to her wonderful husband Herb Donaldson for 50 + years until his death in1984. Aileen and Herb had three children together. Bill, Shirley and Mike all inherited Herb's talent in music and performing and were greatly influenced by Aileen's hard work ethic and genuine loving nature. Aileen has lost many close family members and friends over the years including her daughter Shirley and son in law Etch Richard as well as all of her brothers and sisters who she spoke of very highly. Aileen is survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who she loved, cared for and enjoyed dearly. As a young woman, she studied nursing in Swift Current, SK, graduating in 1929. Aileen was a deeply caring, genuine and selfless person and became known by all as ""Nurse Donaldson"" right up to her passing. We will miss you Grandma! And as you would say ... ""We love you little we love you big, we love you like a little pig"".

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 29, 2008 at the MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY, 1210 Scenic Dr South, followed by a Memorial Service held at 11:00am at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 - 15 Ave South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Cathy Coates officiating.
