Donald Ostby of Coutts, passed away suddenly at Gold Springs Park on May 29, 2015 at the age of 81 years.

Don was born on the family farm east of Coutts, on June 15, 1933. He received his schooling and lived his entire life in Coutts.

He had a career of driving trucks and farming, retiring in 1998. His passions were spending winters in Phoenix, AZ, attending as many Phoenix Suns basketball games as possible, camping and fishing all summer, and enjoying every minute he could with his family.

Don is survived by Betty and their children. Daughters Karen Wachtler and Connie (Lee) Berringer; Sons Wayne (Jacque) Ostby and Ron Ostby; Grandchildren-Kristi (Brad) Plaksey, Ryann and Trey, Vicki (Brett) Losey, Mykie, Pacey and Hollis, Clint (Linnden) Berringer, Emerson and Dawson, Julie (Brennan) Meek, Hadlee and Maizey, Kyle (Amie) Berringer, Cole and Austin Ostby; Sister Delores Yates, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don was predeceased by his Parents Fauster and Marion, and Sister Delrose Bell.

A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at COUTTS CIVIC CENTER, 105 Center Ave, Coutts, AB with Pastor Keith Dangerfield officiating.
